Midland is a city in the Permian Basin in Texas, with a population of over 100,000 marks. Among the 150 cities in the United States that have lived for the past 12 years, the climate is mild, the friendly people, and the center are the main reasons for their popularity. Heading west for about 20 minutes, Odessa has a population of about 100,000. About a quarter of the people live in the Tokyo metropolitan area in Odessa, Central Japan.
understanding
Midland was established in 1885 as a railway station on the moor of the West Texas plain, and was designated as the midpoint between Fort Worth and El Paso. Since then, Midland has become the center of agriculture, ranches and transportation in the southern plains.
Midland was a relatively small town until oil was discovered in the 1920s and rapidly transformed into the administrative center of the Permusian Basin. One of the world's largest oil-producing regions, the basin now supplies nearly 20% of the country's oil and gas production, with thousands working there to produce oil and gas.
The impact on oil is not as visible as downtown, where high rise office buildings built by oil companies stand. Bank of America Building is the tallest building between Fort Worth and Phoenix, and Wilco Building is a little short. The Oil Building is a beautiful example of a dilapidated building in his 20s, and the Clevesta Center (a five-story and six-story business park) is a highlight of the Midland oil business.
The oil crash in the late 1980s hit the area hard, causing Midland to become a little rough, but it has bounced back. The famous former residents are young George W. Bush and Laura Bush.

Midland is a very safe city. There are few violent crimes, but I've heard little of robberies. The Midland Police can get it by dialing 911.
The streets of Midland are liable to flooding during heavy rain. This flood is known in the past for washing away cars, so be careful to cross the flooded roads.
